LEAGUE PAIRS

The League pairs on Monday 23rd September 2024 will take place on the greens of West Derby Recs and A.S.M.   The closing date for entries is Friday 13th September 2024.  The final will be on the Gardeners on Tuesday 24th September 2024.

OVER 70″S RESULT

In the final of the over 70″s held at West Derby Recs, Alec Goodyear (Richmond 2) defeated the Holder Harry Barlow (ASM) 15 – 11.  The semi final losers were Alan Walsh( Grant) and Dave Roberts. (ASM)

Over 70″s Final Day

The final of the over 70″s competition will take place at 1p.m. on Friday  2nd August 2024 at West Derby Recs BC.  The following have qualified.  M. Shiels – West Derby Recs, H. Barlow, D. LEAGUE MERIT

In the final of the league merit held at the Richmond, Kevin Wilson defeated Martin Keatley 15 – 6 (both from ASM).  In the semi final Kevin defeated Phil Housbey 15 – 11 and Martin defeated John Salisbury 15 – 13.


LEAGUE MERIT

The League Merit will take place on Monday 1st July 2024 at both Halewood and Sefton Arms with the final at Richmond on Friday 5th July 2024. The closing date for entries is 6pm on Tuesday  25th June 2024


LEAGUE HANDICAP

In the final of the League Handicap held at Larkhill Dave Gaynor ( Richmond 2) defeated Mark Kelly (ASM) 21-13.  Losing semi finalists were Tommy Lunt and Paul Skyner both ASM.

The final of the League Handicap will take place at 1pm on Friday 7th June 2024. The following players have qualified.  A. Carson, M. Kelly,  P. Skyner and T. Lunt from ASM, S. Skibinski –  Garston ,  B. Fisher – Larkhill , C. Harris – Northway and D. Gaynor -Richmond 2.


LEAGUE HANDICAP

The venues for the first rounds of the League Handicap on Monday 3rd June 2024 are West Derby Recs and Calderfield commencing at 12.45pm  The final on Friday 7th June 2024 will be at Larkhill with a 1.p.m. start.   The closing date for entries  is Tuesday 28th May.

In the final of the League Pairs held at Brenesc, M. Keatley and P. Skyner from ASM defeated P. Foster and B. Fisher from Larkhill 15 – 6.  The losing semi finalists were T. Lunt and D. Roberts from ASM and J. Salisbury and J. Sharkey from Gardeners.

LEAGUE PAIRS

The League Pairs as you are no doubt aware will take place on Monday 25th September 2023 at the moment at ASM and Walton Hall.  The final will be at Brenesc on Tuesday 26th September.  The closing date for this event is Tuesday 19th September.  I ask that  a concerted effort  is made to get plenty of entries for the event. The event is sponsored by a local bowler and he deserves a lot of support for his grateful contribution.  He wishes to remain anonymous.  Please do your best.  Ron

In the final of the over 70″s held at Grant Harry Barlow (ASM) defeated David Gaynor (Richmond 2) 15 – 14.  The losing semi finalists were Tony Tsang and John Sharkey.  In the photograph Joe Jones the League Chairman presents the trophy to Harry Barlow.


OVER 7O”s COMPETITION

The final of the over 70″s competition will take place at Grant on Friday 4th August 2023 start 1p.m.  The following have qualified for finals day.  D. Holding, J. Gibson – Brenesc,  T. Tsang, H. The final of the Sponsors Trophy between Halewood 2 and Garston will take place at 1pm on Friday 30th September at ASM


OVER 70″S RESULT

In the final of the Over 70″s played at Richmond Dave  Graston of Garston defeated Mike Sheils of West Derby Recs 15 – 6.  This was the second successive finals defeat for Mike.  The losing semi finalists were Peter McCormack of Grant and Ken Clugston of Garston.


OVER 70″S COMPETITION

In respect of the Over 70″s competition due to a clash with a Ladies event the venues have been changed.  The preliminary rounds will now  take place at A.S.M. and Olympic on Monday 8th August 2022 with the final at Richmond on the 12th August 2022.  The closing date for entries is the 29th July 2022.


LEAGUE HANDICAP

The final of the League Handicap was played at Grant  between two players from Brenesc, Mike Lynch defeating Keith Sherbrooke 21 18.  The losing sem finalists were both from ASM ie Tommy Lunt and Tony Tsang.

Over 70’s

In the final of the above competition  John Robinson of WVC defeated Alan Delahunt of Prescot Manor 15 _ 9. The losing semi finalists were Alan Walsh and Steff Skibinski.

In the final of the League Pairs, D. Roberts/M. Kelly (ASM) defeated D. Solomon/K. Nixon( West Derby Recs) 15.12.  The losing semi finalists were F and L Bolland (WVC) and C. Bannister/P. Edge (Halewood).

Over 70’s

The final stages of the over 70’s due to be played on 16.8.19 was called off due to the weather conditions.  It will now take place at West Derby Recs on Monday 16th September at 12.45pm.
