In round two of the Sponsors Trophy to be played on the 9th July 2024 game 4 should read Calderfield v Halewood 2 not as shown in the fixture book.

Result

Due to the inclement weather only one game was played on the 9th April 2024 with the following result.    Richmond 12  Larkhill A 2.   All outstanding games should be re-arranged a.s.a.p.

End of season league positions

Du to the resignation of Huyton from this League, in order to create a better balance, at the end of the Season 2024, three teams will be relegated from Division 1 and two teams will be promoted from the Second Division.

Huyton C and B have tendered their resignation from both the Tuesday and Thursday Leagues.  Their explanation was that they could not raise sufficient players to compete.

The fixture published between BRENESC v RICHMOND 2 on the 30th April 2024 is incorrect and should read BRENESC v RICHMOND.

I have been informed of the passing of Tommy Hughes a long serving respected member of the Olympic BC.  His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Tuesday 9th April 2024 at St. Chads Church, Kirkby followed by cremation at St. Helens Crematorium. RIP Tommy.

In the final of the League Pairs held at Brenesc, M. Keatley and P. Skyner from ASM defeated P. Foster and B. Fisher from Larkhill 15 – 6.  The losing semi finalists were T. Lunt and D. Roberts from ASM and J. Salisbury and J. Sharkey from Gardeners.

The funeral of Dave Drummond will take place at 12noon on Wednesday 20th September 2023 at Anfield Crematorium.  There will be a reception afterwards at Alder Club.
